“Anna’s Way is a tribute from me to my mother, Anna Vavasour. Alongside my father Pete, Anna was a pioneer in New Zealand’s winemaking industry. I remember Anna to be bold, stylish and creative by nature, and never afraid to speak her mind – she is my inspiration for these wines.”– Louis Vavasour.
The late Anna Vavasour designed the wrought iron gates that stand at the entrance to our winery in the late 1970s. Swung open, they symbolise women’s empowerment and the freedom of expression that came into its own around this time. The Anna’s Way label is similarly bold and timeless. The wines are made with an experimental approach – you might find a dash of Gewürztraminer in the Pinot Gris, or a subtle French Oak influence in the Sauvignon Blanc, Fume Blanc style. Anna’s Way – expressive and creative with stylish flavour nuances.
